Comment by CARL NELSON on December 29, 2011 at 3:40pm 2012 will be a real busy year for PM professionals...
Change will be everywhere....changing technology..changing economics...changing international scene...
PM IS MANAGING CHANGE.....
The PM of 2005 is obsolete.
The old model is antique..
We must step up.
Enough said.

Hi to all overseas friends
As you might know we at PM Greece are implementing our National PM Excellence Recogntion (labeled as ERGA-NI) based on the IPMA PM Excellence Award model.
In the project organization I (as Project Manager) invited to join us the Secretary of EBEN.gr http://www.eben.gr/(the Greek national partner of EBEN= European Business Ethics Network)
This Greek NGO has developed an ETHICS model (labeled BEE) for organizations.
We wiil work together for a particular application of this model that can apply to projects and integrate it to our <ERGA-NI> model.
This is a pilot approach and if it really creates value, we will present it at the IPMA PM Award board.
Comment by Stacy Goff on January 7, 2011 at 1:51pm Hello Carl, I agree with Les about SHOUTING. To your question about Ethics: Yes, PMI does have a code of ethics. It is much more involved than the earlier version, and in some ways was inspired by people who invoked the USA's First Amendment when discussing PMI (freedom of speech).
We believe ethics is a two way street. During the comments period for PMI's new document, some people asked if PMI employees and managers would also be required to stand by those ethics. asapm has a code of ethics that is more straight-forward, and remains two-way. Both certificants and the organization's volunteer workers and officers follow it.
And, we do not just espouse Ethics, we require knowledge and Performance Competence in Ethics as one of the 48 Elements demonstrated by PM practitioners in our four levels of certification.
This early embracing of the practice of Ethics by IPMA and asapm has led others to begin (at least) talking about it as well. Thanks for your comment, Carl!
Comment by CARL NELSON on January 7, 2011 at 1:22pm IS ANYONE TALKING ETHICS IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT ????
