The purpose of this document is to explore methods of reducing fragmentation generally associated with social media.  Contrasted with traditional websites in which there was a central command and control, social media sites are generally considered to be  homegrown, launched by unofficial parties, messy, uncontrolled and, most likely in the end, uncontrollable.


The document first explores the function of resumes in Human Resources departments in order to extrapolate a concept of a "group resume" or "group portfolio".  The document proposes that the group portfolio is to groups what resumes are to  individuals -- opportunities for like-minded people to communicate clearly their ideas, events, photos, experiences.  Secondly, the document breaks down a complex organization such as the IPMA into its constituencies and calls for each constituency to declare its unique properties.  Step 3 lists several examples and clear benefits of the portfolio model.  Finally, this page is equipped with a REPLY for questions and further elaboration from the IPMA Family.
